HORSETHIEF LAKE and FISH KILLS.
A note from your General Manager.
I have observed in my 17 years plus (1994-2010 and 2018-2019) of working in the district of what is called "Fish Kills" in the Horsethief Lake.
Research has told us that this time of year there are Algal Blooms and a depletion of oxygen in the lake. It is a common, natural occurrence and is sometimes referred to as a lake turnover. There has been no man-made action that has triggered this occurence.
