Chief of Police Mike Grant is a veteran police officer with over 25 years of law enforcement experience::

  • A working chief, working patrol and going on-call for the department.
  • Executive Certificate from California Peace Officer's Standards and Training (POST). The Executive Certificate is the highest level certificate a police officer can attain in Californnia.
  • Graduate of California POST Command College, class 58.
  • BS in Criminal Justice with honors.
  • Active Army veteran as well as a California Army National Guard Veteran
  • California Drug Interdiction, Task Force Grizzly, California Army National Guard
  • POST cerfified Police Mountain Bike Instructor, Firearms Instructor and Gang instrucor:
  • Certified Glock Armorer.
  • Instructor for area Community Emergency Response Teams (CERT) in Disaster Psychology and Terrorism modules.
  • Started the first Stallion Springs Neighborhood Watch program.
  • Started the first Community Services Unit for the police department.
  • Has served as both the Interim and Assistant General Manager for the district since 2014.
Chief Mike Grant received training at the Museum of Tolerance during June, 2017 & was very fortunate to hear a holacaust (Shoa) survivors story.
