Water The District supplies water to all parcels within close proximity to our supply lines, with water bills issued every two months. Remembering that water is a precious and increasingly expensive resource, we recommend water conservation and xeriscape techniques in landscaping. Currently Stallion Springs is serviced by several community owned wells. The water is tested regularly and quality is excellent. We welcome residents to ask District staff for a history of water usage of their property to avoid the surprise of high water bills. |
|
| Sewer At present, 540 lots within Stallion Springs are in the District sewer system and are required to connect. Most lots require installation of a septic system. Please check with the District office regarding the status of your lot, connection fees, and billing. |

Solid Waste The District provides 50-yard solid waste bins located at the District office for solid waste transfer. All residents are encouraged to follow the posted directions as to what can be placed in these bins. A solid waste billing is included with the water bill. Twice each year, a general clean-up day is held with special bins available for materials not normally accepted, i.e., construction materials and appliances. Hazardous materials are never accepted within Stallion Springs. For information regarding hazardous materials, please contact Benz Sanitation or Kern County Waste Facility. |

Roads The District makes every effort to keep our semi-public roads in good repair and passable. Winter snows are often plowed, just as the snow ceases falling, and the entire Staff may assist with this task. |

Parks Stallion Springs C.S.D. is the Parks and Recreation Department for the community of Stallion Springs. Stallion Springs C.S.D. currently operates the Horse Thief Park located just north of Stallion Springs Drive by the covered bridge. This park offers a pavillion, barbeques, fishing, and some play equipment. Man O’ War Park located off Man O’ War Drive and Hambletonian Drive offers a concrete basketball court, horseshoe pits, swings, a playing field and some picnic areas with barbeques. The Stallion Springs C.S.D. is developing a Narrative Trail off Comanche Point Road west of Jacks Hill Road. Look for more information when it is fully developed and opens. The C.S.D. is also building a community center gymnasium and multipurpose room. This 14,000 square foot building will, hopefully, open in April 2007 and will provide a number of varied recreational opportunities for the community. Call for Volunteers and Teachers -- As the Community Center construction progresses a full Parks and Recreation program will be coming in April. The Parks and Recreation Department is looking for people who are interested in teaching a class, e.g. sewing, painting, jewelry making, etc. The Parks and Recreation Department is also looking for volunteers to assist with recreation activities. In April a Men's Recreational 3 on 3 Basketball will begin, Saturday mornings from 9 to 11 AM. Volunteer scorekeepers are needed. I you are interested in either teaching a class or volunteering your time, please e-mail or contact Lea Martinez at 822-3268. The Parks and Recreation Department is always looking for ideas/suggestions in regard to programs, equipment and facilities that will benefit the residents of Stallion Springs. |
