What is a Community Services District?
Many people are familiar with a City and a County government but are not familiar with a Community Services District (CSD). Community Services Districts are local governments authorized as "special districts" under Government Code 66100 of the State of California, and are established to serve residents of a community.

The Stallion Springs Community Services District
The District, originally created and recognized in 1970 as the Tehachapi Mountain Community Services District, almost immediately officially adopted a new name, Stallion Springs Community Services District. We operate under the direction of a publicly elected five-member Board of Directors. Regular meetings are held at 7:00 PM, the third Tuesday of each month, at the District offices on Stallion Springs Drive. All residents and property owners are encouraged to attend. Interest in serving on the Board of Directors or any questions regarding District operations should be directed to the District General Manager.

The SSCSD staff is here to serve this community. Revenue to operate the District is derived from property tax money, water bills, sewer bills, solid waste bills, road assessment, water and sewer availability charges, as well as other miscellaneous charges.
